The Dooples continue to practice all that they learned in Meet the Dooples while they wait for Mr. Dooba Dee Doo to return and take them to the far away land of Doo.

The definition of literacy is expanded in this story to include basic mathematical strategies, such as conceptual understanding, reasoning, thinking, and problem solving. In order to find a way to get to the land of Doo, the Dooples discover that working together and cooperating to plan, think, and solve the problem will lead to success. They learn about simple shapes with SNIPPY, the scissor, and how to form patterns with the shapes.
